Measuring

In 1J we have been learning how to measure people,we also learnt that the field was 29cm from our classroom,we went around the school to find out how far away things are.We also measured the door with the measuring stick.

Sound walk in the forest

In year 1 we have been taking a walk in the forest. In the forest we listened to what we could hear. We heard many sounds. Our favourite sound was a bird tweeting. We actually saw the bird. During our trip we saw a big hole. Luckily nobody fell into the hole. We sat on a wooden bench and talked about what we heard.

Four Favourite Fairy tales

In year 1 we have been looking at four fairy tales.

We had a group of actors act out the fairy tales.

They were from the Rainbow Theatre.

Materials

In 1J we have been looking at different materials.

We felt them and said which one was hard and soft. Wood and Glass were hardest. Cloth and Fabric were the softest. We also stuck them in our book.

Snakes and Ladders

In year 1 we have been playing number games. Our favorite was Snakes and Ladders. Karam and Cydney won. They tied. No one went down the snakes but we all went up at least 1 ladder.
