Dear Parents/Carer

Unfortunately, for medical reasons, Mrs Jones will be absent from school for 2 weeks prior to the Easter holidays.

Cover arrangements have been put in place with Mrs Dhadwal and Mrs Murphy teaching the class during this period. Both teachers are very experienced and known to the children.

Mary the spider is big and hairy
She moves very fast and can be scary

She has 8 hairy legs and 4 big eyes
She spins her web and catches flies

At night-time Mary creeps through the house
We cannot hear her because she's as quiet as a mouse

Making a Stickman

Everybody loved the story of 'Stickman' so much that we just had to have a go at making our own version of the lead character.

It was very hard. We used glue, sellotape, googly-eyes, and sticks from the field.

ICT - Controlling Round a Route

This week in ICT we have been learning about giving instructions to machines and robots.

We played this neat game in pairs where one person has to give instructions and the other has to do exactly what the other person says, and then see if they have been able to travel around the way they wanted to go.

Wellies and Woods

Dear Parents/Carers

Our topic for next term is 'Into The Woods'. We plan to frequently use the Glade school wooded area for Literacy, Science and DT Lessons. Due to this, and the fact that school shoes could become very messy and even spoiled, we would be grateful if you would supply a pair of wellington boots for your child. We would like them to be kept in school in a bag, clearly marked with your child's name.
